Give more than the singles a chance. (4 stars) If you only listen to "Every Breath", "Every Little Thing", Roxanne", etc. you are missing out on a lot of great music. Try a song like "Deathwish" or "Bring On The Night" from this album for something just as good as the standard radio clasics. Buy the album and just let it play from end to end. If you like The Police enough to be checking out individual songs from their albums then you will not Regatta de Blanc (5 stars) This is, in my opinion, the best Police album. It's one of a small handful of albums that I can listen to from start to finish without ever wanting to skip past a song. The only one that I even think about skipping is Message In a Bottle, but that's just because I've heard it so many times. BiographyFormed: 1977 in London, EnglandGenre: Rock Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s Nominally, the Police were punk rock, but that's only in the loosest sense of the term. The trio's nervous, reggae-injected pop/rock was punky, but it wasn't necessarily punk. All three members were considerably more technically proficient than the average punk or new wave band. Andy Summers had a precise guitar attack that created dense, interlocking waves of sounds and effects. Stewart Copeland could play polyrhythms effortlessly.
