I have heard most of these in various versions. To say I’m looking forward to this official release is an understatement. One of the most important musical and cultural events of the year.

Absolutely Essential (5 stars)
Whatever version of this you get, it will serve you well. My first version of this 1967 set came by way of Bob Dylan and The Band, The Basement Tapes (1975) and that disc has some early demos from The Band not included here.
