(5 stars) I was a big fan of McPherson’s last album, Signs & Signifiers, and so I was excited for his follow up… But also a little bit nervous for him. On S&S, he captured a vintage rock and roll (almost rockabilly) sound, giving it a very subtle modern touch… I wondered how a new album would measure up. Would it be too much more of the same or, alternately, would he “grow” beyond that rock and roll sound that was so much fun? Wel This album is what rock and roll was built on (5 stars) This album is fantastic. You you love blues rockabilly you will love this. It screams America. JD is fantastic at bringing that rock and roll of old back.
