Hebrews – Say AnythingCustomer ReviewsDelightfully Unexpected (5 stars)As a long-time Say Anything fan, I've grown to know and love their wide range of styles. And yet, this album still came as a shock to me. The sound of Hebrews is so different from any of their previous albums, and is a welcome deviation from what seemed to be their descent into watered-down, bubblegum-like punk after their self-titled album. The lyrics and sound are so raw, remniscent of some of the grittier tracks off of ...Is a Real Boy an I do not think I have enough room for the accolades this deserves (5 stars) It has been a very long, terribly colorless time since I’ve been left in awe by verse or musical composition- this album is not only lyrically sound in my opinion, the music paired with it creates a flawless marriage. Listening to Say Anything has always felt like how listening to actual hymns in church SHOULD feel like. Max’s raw stanzas always seem to hit home and gives one a sense of solidarity with the world. I highly recommend this Yep. (5 stars) The first single pretty much says it. Max isn't trying to emulate any of his past albums. We're just going to get a slice of his creativity driven by his new life experiences. I'm on board. This sound is exactly what I'm hungry for right now. Anarchy was probably my least favorite, though a decent album. I'm just happy to move on to the next one!
