A Dangerous Weapon (5 stars)
Charging out of the gate with Honey from a Knife, this album never lets up. Everything's on 10 and it's wonderful. This is easily The Cult's best and most inspired album of the 2000's and should rank very high in their canon, alongside Electric and Sonic Temple. I waited (not very) patiently for well over 6 months for this album to drop and it was absolutely worth it. These guys rarely, if ever, disappoint.

Going to have to chew on this one for a while... (3 stars)
I love "Lucifer". And, "For the Animals" is a decent track. As for the rest of the album I'm going to have to spend more time with it. Not sure yet.

CULT CULT CULT! (5 stars)
The urban shamanism of poet and prophet Ian Astbury coupled with the tight arrangements and songwriting of Billy Duffy make Choice of Weapon the best record The CULT has presented since 1994. New and fresh, the recording showcases a mature beat combo on top of their game. Not to be missed whether you're a long time diehard fan or just a lover of good rock and roll with a sense of urgency and sincerity not found in commercial music. Illumi
