AMAZING (5 stars)
Lila NEVER fails to give good music that not only sounds good but is lyrically life changing and open. I was expecting the music to sound a bit different (considering the live versions) but they're still so PERFECT! this album stands out because I feel like I can actually hear more of her voice in a clearer way than in pecados y milagros! Despite it being a bit different her voice blends into any genre she does!

Singer Lila Downs grew up with the culture of her father, a professor from the United States, but eventually turned her back on it to explore the tradition of her mother, a Mixteca Indian from Mexico. In doing so, she has created a very individual strain of song that has indigenous Mexican roots and North American sonorities.
