Face Melting Metal (5 stars) Amazing technical skill without being annoyingly pretentious. Boston's best metal band. Consistently exceeding expectations with face melting riffs. Every song, every album. (5 stars) This is the first band in a long time (since DEATH) that every song has “that part” that makes you break your face. Every song and every album so far has been nothing short of perfect, from my point of view. You always hear them and never hear similarities from album to album. You know it’s Revocation but you hear them mature and grow each release. I’m always impressed with these guys. Never fails. Since we don’t have Chuck (RIP) a BiographyFormed: Boston, MAGenre: Metal Years Active: '00s, '10s Boston, MA trio Revocation is comprised of vocalist/guitarist David Davidson, vocalist/bassist Anthony Buda, and drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne — all of whom showcase incredible dexterity at their chosen instruments, even by heavy metal standards, and came together as a group in 2005. Armed with a super-technical thrash/death metal style prizing virtuosity as much as heaviness and aggression, the group soon began attracting A&R men from numerous labels with their self-released Summon the Spawn...
