Then comes all of that personality Mindi puts into her sax. Wild Heart is all about going big and it is done to perfection here. I'm excited not just for this record but for the influence it will (hopefully) have on the jazz world and beyond. Buy this album!! While not fully abandoning her infectious melodic pop, on WILD HEART she amps up the power and plays with explosive abandon. Alternately keeping her identifiable horn and dreamy lead vocals front and center, IDK (3 stars) I feel like the sax rock missed the mark... It just didn't feel like rock with the sax.
