On The MF Life, Melanie Fiona advances into modern urban territory without forsaking the smoldering retro-soul of her debut release. The Canadian singer dips into a host of stylistic eras in these tracks, interpreting them with an admirable blend of artistic confidence and emotional vulnerability. The MF Life boasts production input by such A-list hitmakers as Rico Love and Salaam Remi and features guest vocal appearances by J. Cole, John Legend, T-Pain, and Nas. Melanie's first album was amazing and this new album continues that same MF sound that we know and love. Are Grammys in her future ? HELL YEAH ! This is real R & B for sure. Go buy this now, and if you don't have MF's first album go buy that one now too.

With this album Melanie Fiona has done what many artists fail to do upon the release their sophomore album, which is show growth. The Bridge was an amazing album, and the MF Life is the perfect follow up.
